The essence and importance of Human Security
Long-term crises, wars, natural disasters, epidemics, bankruptcies, economic recessions, poverty, famine, hunger, etc., threaten development, peace, and sustainability.
Definition of Human Security
Human security can be defined as an analytical planning and accountability framework that identifies and addresses the mentioned challenges to secure human survival, life, and dignity. In other words, it provides comprehensive and preemptive solutions.
The goal of Human Security is to provide sustainable development, support for migrants and displaced people, and a framework to reduce the risk of crises and secure peace.
The components and dimensions of Human Security
Economic, food, health, environment, individual, social, and political.
Human Security Programs in 2030 Vision
1. Eliminate poverty all around the world
2. Eliminate hunger and provide food security, promote sustained agriculture and improve nutrition
3. Providing a healthy life and promoting health/well-being for all age groups
4. Providing equal education opportunities and improving the quality of education
5. Gender equality and empowerment of women
6. Providing and sustainable managing of water and health (resources) for everyone
7. Achieving modern, sustainable, reliable, and accessible energy for everyone
8. Sustainable economic growth, productivity of human resources, and creation of decent jobs for everyone
9. Creating resilient infrastructure, sustainable industrialization, and innovation promotion
10. Reduction of discrimination and injustice in and between / among different countries
11. Creating resilient, safe, and sustainable (human) settlements and cities
12. Ensuring the creation of sustainable production and consumption patterns
13. Urgent measures against climate change and its negative consequences
14. Preservation of oceans, seas, and water resources for sustained development objectives
15. Efficient use of land resources, forests while combating deforestation, soil erosion, and elimination of soil biodiversity
